Every new bespoke horsebox built by our team of expert craftsmen goes through a thorough inspection to ensure that it is DEFRA approved, meaning that your horses can always be transported to wherever you need to be, in a safe and relaxed manner.

The guarantee that all of our horseboxes are DEFRA approved means that you can be sure that your horses are protected from any unnecessary suffering or injuries during transportation. Our DEFRA approved features as standard include:
- Roof vents
- Two-way fans
- Fully insulated roof panels for thermo-regulation
- Temperature and humidity gauge
- Night travel lights
In addition to this, at Cooke Coachbuilders, we pride ourselves on the quality of our build. All of our horsebox models are also fitted with extra comfort features such as aluminium planked flooring lined with rubber matting, a choice of stainless-steel partitions, headboards, and rug racks. After purchase of your horsebox, we will always provide you with a DEFRA certificate of approval in your name, to keep with the rest of your vehicle documents.
